• Renal function tests – serum creatinine, blood urea, electrolytes

• Serum Proteins
• FBS,RBS,PPBS,OGTT
• Serum Amylase
• Uric acids
• Lactate Dehyrogenase
• Urine Tests – uric acid, electrolytes, full reports, ketone bodies, Bence Jones proteins.
• CSF analysis
• 24 hr urine tests – creatinine clearance, protein, electrolytes, uric acid,

Which are critical in assessing pre and post chemotherapy and pre and post – operative conditions.

The analysis is carried out using,

• Fully automated biochemistry analyzer (Mindray BS 300)
• Roche AVL ion selective electrodes
• Hycel flame photometer

The special biochemistry laboratory perform,

• Serum protein electrophoresis with quantification
• Tumour marker assays (AFP,CEA, β HCG, PSA, CA – 125 and Thyroglobulin)
• TSH, free T4 , and free T3

Tumour markers and thyroid profiles are analyzed in Vitrous Eci Immunoassay analyzer utilizing enhanced Chemiluminescence technique.

The laboratory quality is assured and maintained using an internal quality control programme with documentation and participating in external quality assurance programs run by,

 The laboratory is managed with 7 medical laboratory technologists, and is under the supervision of a full time Biochemist and a Consultant Chemical Pathologist
